Position Description:

The School of Business at the College of Charleston has an opening for an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management starting August 16, 2021. The School is accredited by AACSB in both its business and accounting undergraduate programs. We are seeking a candidate to join our faculty in the area of supply chain management and decision sciences with specialization in one or more of the following areas: supply chain planning and analysis, business analytics and statistics, purchasing, logistics and/or enterprise software. SAP knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities would include developing and teaching courses in one or more of these areas, as well as teaching existing both graduate MBA and undergraduate courses in Business Statistics/Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Purchasing, Lean and Six Sigma, etc. Candidates should possess a demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate coursework and conduct quality research in one or more of the above-stated areas.

A Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management or closely related field is required. A.B.D. candidates without completion by January 1, 2022 will be considered only for appointment at the instructor rank and must have completed the Ph.D. for continuation beyond one year.
