This position is a full-time 12 month position. It will report to the University Scheduler and Event Manager.

Job Summary:

This position assists with preparing, setting up, removing, loading and unloading various items for meetings/events. This person must follow work orders and corresponding diagrams, including accessing technology for this information. All campus inventory must be cared for and kept organized at all times.

Essential Functions:

Set up and break down campus activities and events. This includes tables, chairs, podiums, and heavier items such as staging. Ensure work orders and corresponding diagrams are followed precisely. This position also requires handling of athletic equipment in the Simon Forum: moving and setting up athletic hoops, scorer’s tables, game day chairs, bleachers, and curtains.

Use campus software (EMS, Social tables, and Google suites) to assist Auxiliary Services in event practices. Help edit diagrams and have general knowledge of all activity on campus using our scheduling software, EMS.

Care for event inventory. Report any broken/damaged furniture. Manage the storage rooms and keep track when certain items are removed from their original location. Use Google suite to document changes. Maintain knowledge of all buildings, rooms, and various set up types.

Act as a leader for our student worker staff. Work together to ensure diagrams/work orders are being completed on time and accurately. Ensure that safe practices and procedures are followed by all staff including student workers while working.
