Position Description:
Anderson Computing & Information Services (ACIS) supports more than 3000 users, including faculty, staff, and students. ACIS provides application development, system integration, technical business analysis and technical support for Anderson business units including programs, research centers, financial services, admissions, career services, executive education, marketing & communications, alumni and development offices. ACIS also provides technology for research & instructional support to more than 150 Anderson School faculty and approximately 60 PhD students.

Under minimal supervision of the Director, Business Relationship Management, the senior business programmer is responsible for managing all phases of the software development life cycle of moderately complex to extremely complex web-based applications. The incumbent will assist and facilitate multiple day-to-day operations of the UCLA Anderson School of Management as well as targeted internal improvements. This includes participating in and/or managing internal ACIS initiatives such as system modernization, security enhancement, process improvement, reengineering, and automation, data analytics, and cloud migration.

Working in consultation with the Applications Development team and systems owners, this position performs various software development tasks including development and maintenance of applications, research and evaluation of software and technical solutions, configuring, integrating, and administrating third party vendor systems, and developing BI solutions.

Incumbent is expected to represent ACIS as a trusted business partner interfacing and building strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders at Anderson and UCLA. This involves proactive engagement, facilitating communications, leading group discussions, gathering business requirements, providing consultation, defining project scope and timelines, and delivering the desired business outcomes.

Incumbent must work closely with ACIS functional groups, vendors, and other UCLA entities to coordinate activities ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet requirements.
