Alliant's California School of Management and Leadership invites applications for a full-time academic core faculty appointment in the field of Information Systems and Management. The position starts in August 2021. We are particularly interested in candidates whose practical experience and research has engaged the latest contemporary techniques and models in the management of technology, systems and analytics related areas. The successful candidate's experience and interest in scholarship, teaching and organizational program building will add to the faculty strengths and the growth of the IST related programs at CSML. Alliant values scholarship and practical experience in the referent disciplines as well as areas which intersect and collaborate with the interests and discipline areas of other faculty strengths.

The role of the core faculty member for the programs of California School of Management and Leadership is to provide education and training to students in CSML's management of technology related programs. The faculty member also supports the Dean in the administrative duties related to the delivery and growth of the assigned technology, systems, and analytics programs at the bachelors, masters and doctoral levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Performs teaching duties in accord with established requirements of the School. This includes teaching in the ground and online environment (Canvas LMS) and working in tandem with Instructional Designers to create online curricula.
• Maintains regular office hours for advisement and consultation with students, and timely completion of student evaluations.
• Maintains an ongoing and active presence that assures program vitality and includes accessibility to faculty, students, and staff.
• Maintains scholarly activity, including professional presentations, scholarly publications, grant activity and/or research.
• Engages in professional development activities to include continuing education & professional activities.
• Defines, designs, and ensures effective delivery and evaluations of the academic program's activities and curriculum in collaboration with program faculty, including scheduling and hiring of adjunct faculty, based on established criteria.
• Curriculum & Program Responsibilities: Participates in the effective planning, development, coordination and integration of assigned academic program(s) including the scheduling of classes and the hiring, evaluation, and retention of adjunct faculty; ensures that the curriculum and practical experiences are consistent with program and school/college objectives, policies and proposed WSCUC and specialty accreditation criteria; delivers quality instructional activities; ensures reports on the assigned Program(s) are completed accurately and on schedule including all accreditation reports; initiates, promotes development, and evaluates the assigned Program(s) based on established criteria; oversees the development and assessment of student learning outcomes, on designated campus.
• Supports the development and implementation of curricula and courses that address multicultural and international topics and issues as well as the learning styles of diverse learners.
• Research Responsibilities: Ensures student research projects meet established criteria for the academic program and that students have adequate research supervision; encourages and facilitates faculty research activities, as applicable; provides support for the development of faculty projects and chairs.
• Leverages and utilizes experience in developing other BS, MS or doctoral programs in related areas.
• Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.

Skills:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs and Canvas or other Learning Management System.
• Evidence of quality in teaching and assessment of student learning, courses, program outcomes.
• Demonstrated skills in working successfully in a cooperative, collaborative, interdisciplinary environment to achieve position responsibilities and any administrative duties.
• Outstanding team player with organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and work successfully with persons from diverse populations and culturally diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with students, administration, faculty, adjunct faculty while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.

Requirements:
Education: Doctorate in a field related to technology (e.g., systems, analytics, information or data science, computer science) from an accredited four year university.
Experience: Two (2) years experience working in an organizational setting or an academic setting in a relevant IT/IST field and experience teaching on-ground and on-line. Must have knowledge, experience and achievements that prepare her/him to be an inspirational educator who by established reputation and standing enhances the brand and perception of the School and the Univers
