Position Summary:

The Student Union is seeking Theater Technicians.

The Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium is a 2400 seat venue located on the FAU Boca Raton Campus. As part of the FAU Student Union, the auditorium hosts a variety of events including concerts, graduations, lectures student and corporate events.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide technical support for auditorium events including sound, lighting, video, and stage management.
  • Assist with technical projects and theater maintenance as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Support additional events and operations within the FAU Student Union.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field or a high school diploma and a minimum of three years professional experience required.

Experience required in at least one of the following areas: live event production, stage lighting including intelligent lights, digital audio, video cameras and video switching.

General knowledge of stage production techniques and terminology required.

Preferred Qualifications:

High levels of customer service and attention to detail.

Ability to manage stress and long hours while maintaining a positive attitude.

$16 - $20 per hour
