Job Description

The Manager - Simulation Labs will manage all aspects of the nursing laboratories of the nursing department including but not limited to the following:
  • Collaborate with the Department Chair, Program Director and Course Coordinators to implement the use of evidence based methods of curriculum integration in the lab setting.
  • Conduct research in the area of current community use of equipment to provide an evidence based educational experience in the laboratory.
  • Hiring, training and evaluation of simulation tech, lab tech and RN tutors.
  • Implementation of the continuing expansion of lab services commensurate with the growth of all programs.
  • Manage all aspects of simulation to include the training and actual running of simulation scenarios, creation of scenarios for specific courses collaborating with faculty.
  • Onsite training of students and faculty in the use of equipment used in the conduction of all lab activities.
  • Provide a safe environment utilizing current OSHA guidelines.
  • Supervise the ordering, maintenance, and inventory of consumable supplies and permanent assets within the laboratories; creating and maintaining budget for the various nursing programs to include the writing of grant requests.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college and/or university and five years professional experience with simulation and related activities or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 - 2 years of lead supervisory experience.
  • Unencumbered Nevada RN License.
  • Successful completion of background checks, drug screen, and provision of all necessary vaccinations/titres as required by Nursing Department.
  • Current CPR certification.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing Education from regionally accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience with budgeting, planning and preparation of laboratory experiences in nursing education.
  • Experience in the management of multiple locations.
  • Experience in nursing education and the planning of curriculum related laboratory function.
  • Experience in the writing of various Grants for projects and lab expansion.

Administrative Faculty Grade D

$72,864 - $77,964
