Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month Limited Term Assistant Professor of Music and Assistant Director of Choral Activities in the Bailey School of Music beginning August 9, 2021. Responsibilities
Job responsibilities will include teaching/conducting choral ensembles, choral conducting sequence, and other courses in the Bailey School of Music at the undergraduate level. Additional responsibilities, as prescribed, will be based on the candidate's strengths and academic needs of the School of Music. The School of Music is interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching, performing, and mentoring. Required Qualifications
An earned terminal degree in the field of Music (choral) D.M.A., Ph.D., Ed.D., or the foreign equivalent. ABD accepted (must be earned by hire date) A record of excellence in teaching choral music with expertise ranging from beginning through advanced level pedagogy. Preferred Qualifications

- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience preferably at the secondary public-school level (choral) or comparable collegiate/professional experience. Post-secondary experience is ideal.
- The qualified candidate for the Limite Term Assistant Professor of Music (choral) will possess substantial knowledge of trends in the field of choral music including choral/vocal pedagogy, choral literature and conducting, and appropriate practices in the classroom and on the podium.
