Rider University invites applications for an Employer Relations Coordinator in the Center for Career Development and Success (CDS) who will work in a team-based department to execute employer relations strategies, objectives and initiatives with a specific focus on the business disciplines in the Norm Brodsky College of Business. The successful candidate will maximize student employment outcomes by expanding Enriched Career Experiences (ECE) including internships, co-ops, fieldwork, research, scholarship, arts, media & creative productions and employment opportunities.

Specifically, the individual will be responsible for:
•maintaining, supporting and strengthening partnerships with current employers to increase Enriched Career Experiences and employment opportunities;
•marketing the skills of Rider students to attract a wide array of new employers, in a diverse range of organizations;
•identifying, initiating and building relationships with regional, state and national organizations to develop a recruiting partnership, shape Enriched Career Experiences, and promote Rider students;
•conducting research to develop a general knowledge and understanding of skills, experience and credentials employers seek for securing jobs and entering professional fields aligned with Rider’s business departments and majors;
•maintaining an Employer Relations Management System/Database (ERMS) including inputting, updating, analyzing and reporting data; and
•collaborating with CDS team members to deliver innovative programs, media, workshops and other opportunities to help students learn more about different professional domains.

Position Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree along with 2-3 years of work experience in a corporate/industry or university career services setting
•A dynamic, professional demeanor with exceptional organization, written, and presentation skills
•Knowledge of majors and professional fields aligned with business disciplines
•Ability to exercise independent judgment
•Exceptional time management skills
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment
•Local travel is necessary
•Valid driver’s license and vehicle
•Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

•Master’s degree
•Experience with college recruiting, from a higher education or an industry perspective
•Experience in marketing and communications
•Familiarity with databases
