Department Summary:Join the UNT System Human Resources team as we continue our journey to transform the lives of our students through our partnerships and services to the UNT Denton campus. It’s an exciting time in the UNT System, with many current and new HR initiatives on the horizon.
Position Overview:Responsible for recruiting, screening and interviewing of potential employees. Develops specialized recruiting strategies to meet business unit workforce needs and performs executive, standard, and high volume recruitment. Works with a variety of both external and internal sources to find the best candidates for open positions. Works with hiring managers to determine the required skills and experience for the position. Represents and promotes the university at community based events.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of human resources experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:•Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to compensation and pay equity.
•Working knowledge of MS Office suite.
•Skill in using office computer information systems to organize, store, manipulate and retrieve data.
•Effective communications skills both orally and in writing.
•Critical thinking skills.
•Ability to plan, organize and effectively manage multiple assignments.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with frequently changing priorities.
•Focused on providing a high level of customer service and follow-through.
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
- Experience with high volume recruiting.
- Experience at an institution of higher education.
- Experience in life-cycle recruitment.

o:Responsible for providing full life-cycle recruitment to source, evaluate, and recruit talent into the organization to align with UNT needs. Manages the selection process to include interviewing, assessing candidates, screening and recommending finalists to hiring managers and search committees
o:Proactively collaborates with hiring managers to develop, implement, and evaluate specialized recruiting strategies by proactively recruiting well-qualified and diverse candidate pipelines from a variety of internal and external sources to meet the diverse workforce needs of multiple business units.
o:Partners with hiring managers to determine requirements, resource needs, and compensation to prepare and negotiate job offers.
o:Represents and promotes the university at community based events including job fairs.
