The Physics and Energy Science Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs invites applications for a full-time Instructor position starting August 2021. The department offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees, and has active research programs in several areas of theoretical and experimental physics. For further information visit https://physics.uccs.edu/.This position is to serve at least two programs (traditional Physics program and Energy Science Program) in the Physics Department. Duties include teaching twenty-four semester credit hours per academic year, along with service in support of departmental goals. Average workload is 95% teaching, 5% service.Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience and an outstanding teaching record. In addition, applicants with experience in energy science or teaching energy science are preferred. We are looking for an energetic and engaging candidate with the ability to lecture well at all levels and motivate students.
