Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Admissions Representative is responsible for communicating with prospective students who are interested in TCSPP’s San Diego campus, guiding them through the application and enrollment process. They also review application files, participate in recruitment events, and coordinate with academic departments.

Principal Duties:

  • Communicate with prospective students from the first point of contact through their first week of classes:

    • Ask questions and listen to the needs of prospective students

    • Accurately explain degree programs to guide prospective students to the appropriate program

    • Follow-up with inquiries and applicants to answer questions and ensure they are moving through the enrollment process in a timely fashion

    • Advise admitted students on the next steps in the process and help them prepare for classes

    • Utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) system to record detailed notes of interactions with inquiries and applicants

  • Schedule and conduct campus consultations and telephone based consultations to engage with prospective students and give tours of the campus

  • Participate in on-campus admission events and off-campus recruiting events

  • Review and evaluate completed applications to determine appropriateness of candidates and provide recommendations to the faculty and DOA

  • Serve as the liaison to an academic department, which includes active involvement in the selection process, scheduling and coordinating interviews, and communicating admission decisions

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills (strong writing, interpersonal, and persuasive skills)

  • Must be able to represent TCSPP in a professional manner, follow policies and procedures strictly, and recruit and work within a diverse community

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Ability to travel and work some evenings and weekends

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1 year of higher education admissions experience

  • Proven recruitment, sales, and customer service skills combined with a strong work ethic and goal-oriented, self-motivated approach toward achieving consistent results

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM software
