Post-Doctoral Research Associate - Materials Science and Engineering

Regular Full-time, Pay Grade 00

The University of Tennessee has an opening of a post dpc research associate position for investigating charge dynamics (Electronic and ionic) in hybrid perovskites. This position resides in University of Tennessee, Joint Institute for Advanced Materials, Department of Materials Science and Engineering. The research associate will be supervised by Dr. Mahshid Ahmadi at UT and will work closely with scientists at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. The initial appointment is a temporary full-time assignment of 12 months. Requirement: extensive experience with hybrid perovskites materials processing, device fabrication and opto-electrical characterization. Particularly, interested in development of the hybrid perovskite materials for sensing and electronic applications. Extensive experience in advanced spatio-temporal studies of charge and ionic transport via advanced scanning probe microscopy techniques. Present and report research results and publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals in a timely manner. Work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with a broad range of colleagues.



Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must hold a graduate level degree (PhD) in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, physics, or closely related field of study and have an established record of excellence in their area of specialization.
