Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students from around the world who are dedicated to civic engagement, academic excellence and becoming leaders in their communities and their careers.Description:The Admissions Coordinator provides high-level support and coordination to the Office of Admissions, Associate Dean for Admissions, and Director of Admissions. The successful candidate interacts with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, applicants, and visitors at all levels within Hofstra University and Northwell Health and acts as liaison to forge productive working partnerships with colleagues to enhance the contributions of the School of Medicine.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Organizes a 200-person Admissions Committee; maintains accurate records of contact information, subcommittee membership, and other necessary information
•Manages interview scheduling for over 800 applicants and the Admissions Committee members; ensures that all interviews are assigned within the admissions application processing system and that there is continuous and uninterrupted coverage; ensures that schedules are confirmed via email, phone call, or text message (when necessary); acts as the liaison between the Office of Admissions and Northwell Health staff as it relates to interview scheduling; monitors e-mail communications to ensure cancellations are handled in a timely manner
•Schedules and coordinates all admissions events (in person and virtual) including, but not limited to, interview days, Admissions Committee meetings, annual kickoff meeting, Revisit Weekend, and recruitment events; maintains and updates admissions documents necessary for these events; facilitates printing via WebCRD; orders catering; manages shipping; registration; arranges travel; provides technology troubleshooting experience as necessary
•Assists with maintaining accurate applicant records within the admissions processing system; updates applicants’ statuses; gathers supplemental documents and adds them to applications; maintains a database of VIP applicants and generates reports when requested; creates and distributes acceptance letters
•Completes other special duties and projects, as assigned

This is an on-site position; work for this role is performed on campus.Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree is required.
•At least three years of progressive experience providing administrative coordination in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment is required.
•Must possess excellent customer service skills.
•Must be detail-oriented, able to exercise good judgment and discretion, and capable of handling confidential issues in a professional manner.
•Must have superb computer skills, with proficiency in Zoom and the ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues, Microsoft Office products, including Word (mail merge and tables), Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and use the Internet.
•Is able to work independently and within a team, has excellent organizational abilities, and possesses superior oral and written communication skills.
•Must have experience with scheduling and preparing for meetings, and the ability to handle multiple tasks expediently and accurately.
•Occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekend work required for events/meetings.
