Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Some college experience is preferred. Applicants without college background but with relevant work history will be considered. A broad range of skills may be considered, including but not limited to: previous experience working on a research project, census enumerators, previous experience collecting data, positions that involve home visitation, and positions that involve attention to detail, data entry, and an autonomous work environment.

Position Summary:

This position is a classified position funded by a grant from the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Family Assistance (OFA) through the University of Georgia (UGA), College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
The UGA Family, Relationship, and Marriage Education Works (FRAMEWorks) Field Assessor will work under the supervision of Dr. Karen DeMeester at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government. Dr. DeMeester is a Co-Principle Investigator and the Local Evaluator for the grant-funded project directed by the Principle Investigator Dr. Ted Futris in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences.
The project will integrate healthy marriage and relationship education (HMRE) into existing services to improve healthy relationship and marriage skills and enhance the financial capability of committed couples across Georgia who are experiencing economic stress and are relationally vulnerable in order to enhance couple functioning, co-parenting and parenting quality, family stability, and adult and child well-being. This five-year project will disseminate HMRE services through 15 Dissemination Centers located in 14 Georgia counties and will reach at least 2,250 couples across Georgia.

The FRAMEWorks Field Assessor (FA), also referred to as Data Collector, is responsible for helping couples who participate in FRAMEWorks programming and have consented to the accompanying research study to complete online surveys. FAs will help participants complete the surveys during sessions over the phone or in person at a project Dissemination Center. FAs will make sure that participants understand the research study and what their participation means by reviewing the informed consent documents with each individual and obtaining signatures. FAs will assist couples in accessing surveys and trouble shoot any technology issues. Additional responsibilities include contacting couples to schedule phone appointments or assessment visits, reminding couples of their appointments, following up with couples to ensure survey completion, answering participant inquiries or referring questions to the appropriate individual, organizing assessment materials, and completing administrative and quality assurance paperwork. Driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle for official duty travel is needed. Mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with UGA policies.
