SALARY AND BENEFITS:The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

The salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an active and consistent commitment to the mission of Rocky Vista
    University and its College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships faculty, staff, and students in Utah
    and Colorado in conjunction with the Assistant Dean of Preclinical Program
    Assessment
  • Manage and coordinate faculty and course directors to create a unified and cohesive curriculum 2
  • Maintain a high level of communication and collaboration with the Department of
    Clinical Education to ensure cohesive and integrated educational experience
    through years 1-4
  • Develop the policies and procedures for the preclinical education of RVUCOM
    students
  • Develop the preclinical curriculum and the possess the ability to deliver and
    assess student performance of the preclinical curriculum of the COM,
  • Ensure the delivery and continuous evaluation and improvement of the preclinical
    curriculum.
  • Work with faculty and administration to implement the integration of clinical
    knowledge and skills, biomedical sciences and osteopathic principles and
    practices throughout pre-doctoral education to advance RVUCOM students’
    professionalism, knowledge, skills, and competencies to the level required for
    osteopathic graduate medical education
  • Assist in the evaluation of need-based purchases for the preclinical education
    department, including support for educational and audio-visual resources, travel,
    teaching and research resources, and any other related products
  • Assure the advancement and integration of high standards for ethical and
    professional behavior in all aspects for RVUCOM and personnel
  • Participate in institutional and COM service as designated by the Dean
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean
  • Qualifications

    1. Assist the Faculty and Administrators with special project assignments
    2. Promote a high reputation of RVU and its COM campuses
    3. Participate in media and public relations activities to further the mission of
      RVUCOM
