Front line communication with students, families and general public through personal contact, phone, fax, mail, online chat and email. Assist resident students with problems regarding all Housing & Residence Life operations including, room assignment, room changes, charges on student accounts, repairs, housekeeping, contracting process, room selection, on campus housing options, and key issues. Assist in management of Card Access system for all residence halls. This includes daily updates, adjustments for early arrival students and students approved to stay after closing and communicating card access issues with the Office of Public Safety. Notify Auxiliary Services to add/delete students from door access system. Maintain and update weekly in RMS Mercury (housing software) weekly occupancy data relating to student room and building changes, cancellations and withdrawals, for different informational needs in offices throughout campus. Maintain emergency evacuation list of residents that need assistance in emergency situations. Supervise and manage student office assistants. Ensure they are informed of all processes and procedures so they can assist in front line communication. Receive and process housing deposits for new and returning students obtaining on campus housing. Receive and file confidential student policy violation records and staff reports. Electronic file all miscellaneous student documents in the appropriate folder. Approve/deny request for flyers to be displayed in residence halls. Distribute approved flyers to all residence halls. Assist with large administrative processes such as mass mailings, completing payroll forms for mass student hiring events, assisting as needed with Resident Assistant funding requests, and assisting with room change processes. Serve on departmental committees/taskforces and participate in all required trainings.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience providing administrative support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts, including vendors

Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
