What We Are Looking For

 

The Student Financial Literacy Program Manager is an innovative and outcome-driven individual with a passion to help students understand personal money management for both current and future financial success. Baylor’s Student Financial Literacy program aims to provide students the resources and support needed to successfully navigate the financial challenges facing students including budgeting, reducing student loan and other debt, managing personal financing, investing, and much more. The goal of the program is to help students to feel confident in understanding their finances, introduce them to useful financial resources, and set them up for a more secure and self-assured financial present and future.

 

This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of Baylor’s comprehensive student financial literacy program.  Furthermore, this position will also supervise Baylor’s student financial literacy coaches in addition to leading collaborative initiatives with internal and external partners, including Student Financial Aid, regarding student financial literacy. This position will be charged with developing cutting-edge practices in financial literacy to support the mission of Baylor University to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within a caring community.

 

A Bachelor’s degree, two years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required.  A Master’s degree and three years of relevant work experience are preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, implement, and execute innovative and outcome-driven Student Financial Literacy programing and outreach.
  • Supervise Baylor Student Financial Literacy coaches to ensure both short and long-term success for both program and students
  • Coordinates services with PLFSC programs and other internal and external partners to ensure integrated and proactive support to participants.
  • Provide referrals to financial resources regarding grants, loans, and scholarships.
  • Assists participants with financial need documentation, applications for financial assistance, and individual financial planning/counseling.
  • Oversee financial literacy workshops, seminars, and other events.
  • Produce regular reports and detailed feedback on status of program and its participants
  • Liaises with faculty, advisors, departments, financial aid, registrar, and other relevant departments.
  • Maintain and update website and other financial literacy online resources.
  • Other duties as required.
