The Admissions Specialist is a member of the Office of Admissions and contributes to the overall recruitment efforts of Bucknell University. Primary responsibilities include management of the Daily Campus Visitation Programs. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the management of 70+ admissions ambassadors, direct oversight of Admissions Previews, Campus Tours, Facility Tours, Lunch Visits, the Day in the Life program, Group Visits, analyzing visitation data and suggesting programmatic enhancements or changes to consistently improve the visit experience for prospective students and their families. The Admissions Specialist works closely with the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the Freeman College of Management as well as each individual academic department chair and/or designee, in developing visitation options for our prospective student audience. The Admissions Specialist has a primary role within the on-campus recruitment team and reports directly to the Associate Dean of Admissions and works in collaboration with other Admissions team members.

Job Duties:
- Oversee the daily management of the Office of Admissions visitation options.
- Supervise the day-to-day management of the Office of Admissions public space.
- Co-manage the Admission Ambassador Program of typically 70+ students with a focus on those assisting with the day-to-day management of the Office of Admissions public space. This includes but is not limited to, hiring, training, processing employment paperwork, approving time, and supervision for daily campus visitors and large scale events.
- Manage the Day in the Life program, which includes creating individualized itineraries for visiting students (a combination of attending classes, meeting with faculty, meeting with current students, preview sessions and campus tours) and orienting prospective students and families to their day’s activities.
- Assist with programs that require class visits, faculty meetings, preview sessions, and campus tours.
- Manage group visits to campus. This includes all communication with the visiting group, scheduling their preview session, tour, and meals if included.
- Manage Daily Visitation Calendars on Slate and Google calendar
- Oversee the budget, purchasing and management of inventory which includes beverages, snacks, and supplies.
- Lead multiple and/or high-priority efforts with little oversight.
- Collaborate and partner with faculty, staff, and current students to yield prospective students.
- Remain knowledgeable, current, and responsive to changes in office protocol and procedure.
- Attend Admissions staff meetings and retreats as requested.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, conferences, and other activities, as requested and approved.
- Serve on other University committees, task forces, and advisory boards, as requested.
- Assume other duties as requested by the supervisor or Dean of Admissions.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of relevant office or customer service experience
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Detail oriented, ability to multitask, take initiative, work independently and as a team member, and exercise good judgment
- Prior experience with managing staff, student interns, student workers, and/or volunteers
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, process improvement, and time management skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software programs

Some evening and weekend work will be required, so the Admissions Specialist must be committed to working flexible hours to meet office needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Three(3) or more years of relevant office or customer service experience

Physical Demands:
The ability to lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. is required.
