The Assistant Director of Campus Activities and Programs is a key member of the Campus Activities and Programs (CAP Center) team who reports to the Director of Campus Activities. Primary responsibilities include creating fun, robust and engaging large and small-scale social and educational programming, advising Bucknell's student programming board (Core), oversight of Uptown, MacDonald Commons, and the Bucknell Kitchen, advising additional student groups, coordination of best practice research and assessment, and divisional projects. This team member will deliver student-centered programming that provides incredible personal growth, exciting diverse programs, and awesome social experiences that connect students to each other, Bucknell and beyond. The Assistant Director will participate in an on-call rotation for weekend social programs.

Uptown and The Commons:
Uptown and The Commons are popular and unique entertainment venues open to students throughout the academic year and serve as a central hub for social gatherings. Uptown is equipped with a wide range of technical equipment to host performers and entertainment. The space is monitored by student workers and event managers. Student managers not only run Uptown, but over the years they have left their footprint on the space, making it a unique social space.
The Bucknell Kitchen:
The Bucknell Kitchen is a reimagined space on campus. Many student organizations enjoy gathering to cook meals together. This space allows groups to prepare snacks and meals in a safe environment. The space is monitored by Safe-Served trained student managers.

The Community
