Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

The Department of Public Services provides circulation services, course reserves, interlibrary loan, stacks maintenance, research assistance, and information literacy instruction at all levels. We strive to enrich the student learning experience, facilitate research at all levels, and engage the community through innovative educational services, valuable information and digital literacy instruction, and relevant technology resources.

Job Summary
The Kennesaw State University Library System is now accepting applications for a non-tenure track, Limited Term Research and Instruction Librarian Assistant Professor position for the fall 2021 semester, beginning July 1, 2021.

The position is under the supervision of the Director of Research & Instructional Services and part of the Teaching & Learning Team. The Limited Term Research & Instruction Librarian is needed to provide reference, research assistance, and information literacy instruction to the students, faculty and staff of KSU.

Because a number of classes take place on weekends or during the evenings, the position will occasionally be required to work during these times to meet the needs of our students. This limited term librarian will work on both the Kennesaw and Marietta campuses.

Responsibilities
    Provide research skills and information literacy instruction for both face-to-face and online classes Develop and maintain digital and physical learning objects using tools such as LibGuides and the Desire2Learn CMS Provide in person and virtual research assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community patrons

Required Qualifications
    An earned Master's in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited program, or the foreign equivalent is required Experience working in a customer service, education, or teaching environment

Preferred Qualifications
    Experience working in an academic library or equivalent experience Experience delivering library instruction Experience delivering reference services and/or research assistance
