Assists patrons in locating and using library resources. Assists with shelving and organizing library collection materials. Prepares the library in the areas of services, facilities usage and organizational support. Provides support for special library programs, events, marketing and outreach. Responsibilities
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
- Performs administrative duties for the assigned area
- Assists patrons with questions, resource location and other needs
- Selects, acquires, catalogues, classifies, circulates and maintains library materials as assigned
- Checks books in and out of library per established guidelines
- May assist in the collection of assessed fees and fines from patrons
- Shelves and organizes books and other resource materials
- Orders, receives and processes library materials and supplies for assigned area
- Performs basic copy cataloging and maintains access to library materials as assigned
- Provides support to other Library units as needed
- Maintains library materials and reports issues or needs for repair to leadership
High school diploma or equivalentRequired Experience
Six (6) months of related customer service or office support experience Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience
Previous experience in a college library, university library, public library, or k-12 media center Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ABILITIES
Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlinesKNOWLEDGE

Understands library and collection maintenance and cataloging processesSKILLS
