Job Summary
Through strategic direction and visionary leadership, this individual will innovate processes, enhance team performance (individually and collectively), serve as project manager and relationship leader for the unit. Responsible for coordinating with centralized University leadership to produce exceptional work in line with all University policies and procedures. Serve as the College expert on University and College branding and industry best practices with vendor partnership management and contract facilitation falling within this role. Key partners in delivering on expectations include the Dean, Associate Dean and Assistant Dean of the Coles College; University partners include the Assoc. VP for Strategic Communications, AVP of Strategic Communications & Marketing, Executive Director of Marketing, Director of Creative Services, Director of Operations and Project Management, and Associate Controller for University Operations, among others. Collaborate daily with department chairs, graduate program directors, Center Directors, undergraduate program leaders, faculty project leads, and students. Track and report on team effectiveness in correlation to the College's goals.

  1. Track and report on team effectiveness in correlation to the College's goals
  2. Lead effort to foster culture of intentionality and innovation around activities, work, projects and outcomes of Creative Communications team
  3. Direct, lead, and supervise team of five professionals and four student assistants
  4. Direct and implement project management for Creative Communications team
  5. Foster interdisciplinary relationships with University centralized units and lead relationship development to enhance performance, brand, and College credibility
  6. Lead policy creation, knowledge, and evolution within the College
  7. Leverage connections in college to provide communication, context, oversight, and direction in consultation with College leadership
  8. Collaborate with internal and external audiences to enhance relationships and effectively deliver on projects
  9. Liaise internally between team, departments, centers, faculty, staff, and programs in the College
  10. Provide advisement, planning, and implementation of College, departmental, and center marketing activities
  11. Initiate relationships and steward vendor connections
  12. Lead and develop innovative solutions to areas of influence and oversight
  13. Empower direct reports to expand their capabilities and maximize their potential
  14. Serve in leadership capacity on behalf of Dean and Assistant Dean
  15. Manage a portfolio of work within niche area of specialty

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Required Experience
Six (6) years of experience in related fields
