The integrated Translational Health Research Institute of Virginia (iTHRIV) is seeking a full-time Training Programs Manager.

iTHRIV is an NIH-supported research institute with a mission to catalyze and sustain clinical and translational research through diverse, collaborative team science, innovative data science, and broad workforce development to improve human health and promote health equity.

iTHRIV is seeking a new program manager to support growing training programs for mentored career development programs. This position requires a foundational knowledge of clinical translational research and strong project management experience. A Bachelor’s degree is required and Project Management certification is preferred. This role will have operational management duties and responsibilities for the iTHRIV Scholars program which include:

  • Coordination and management of structured weekly program curriculum;

  • Organization and communication for leadership team of training programs;

  • Collection and management of program outcomes data;

  • Preparation of required reports for iTHRIV program leaders, oversight boards, sponsors, and funding agencies;

  • Support for program integration with iTHRIV partner institutions and national programs as appropriate.

  • Develop systems and processes necessary for the recruitment, tracking, planning, and execution of projects.

  • Arrange, manage, and maintain relevant relationships.

  • Analyze short-term and long-term resource needs and adjust staffing and resources appropriately.

  • Ensure completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines, track milestones and timelines across projects, and institute necessary work flow, personnel, and financial resource allocations.

  • Analyze and resolve issues that have the potential to jeopardize performance.

  • Engage in communication and change management in relation to progress of projects.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: At least four years of experience with clinical translational research and/or project management. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Licensure: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is preferred.
