Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Four years of experience in a student services field or a related field. TRIO or federal program experience preferred.

Performs complex managerial work providing direction and guidance in operations and planning in the program. Assists the Director of TRIO Student Support Services with various initiatives and objectives.

Manages, arranges, and implements TRIO Events. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of Student Support Services (SSS) staff. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures and monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Develops goals and objectives for program. Interprets policies and procedures under Education General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for program and budget compliance. Develops schedules, activities, services, and priorities for achieving goals of program. Approves and monitors budget expenditures within service operations. Presents at SSS study skills seminars, workshops, and recruiting presentations. Oversees the selection and recruitment of SSS participants. Responsible for training staff on program software, service requirements, and federal compliance. Evaluates, researches, and performs analysis of program data. Participates in strategic planning of retention strategies in SSS program and campus wide efforts through administration meetings, committees, and presentations. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to manage business functions. Communicates with other University departments, personnel, and other agencies.

This position may be designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
