(Contingent upon available funding): 15.38 - 17.31, Hourly Work Schedule: Typically 5 days/week, 8 hours/day Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: This position is a full-time, benefits eligible, temporary position.
Theresearch assistant will generally oversee the smooth running of thelaboratory. Research assistant will monitor and update standard operating procedures (OPT)and biosafety protocols. Assistant will assist the Principal Investigator with theorientation of new lab personal, safety compliance, and chemical inventorymanagement. Additionally, will assist in the production and purificationof recombinant proteins, development of enzyme assays, and perform experimentsas delegated by the principal investigator.
Riskto exposure to strong acids/bases.
Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
