Job Description

Founded in 2003, SourceLink is a national program of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, working to build vibrant and cohesive entrepreneurial ecosystems that attract startups, accelerate business growth, and create jobs. SourceLink utilizes a blend of technology and consulting services to support economic developers, entrepreneurship support organizations, government leaders and ecosystem builders in diverse communities across the United States.

SourceLink has experienced over 20% growth annually the last three years. We are seeking a dynamic communication specialist to support our high-performance business development team and contribute to our growth strategy.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Create, write and edit presentations, sales proposals, emails, request for proposals, and professional communications with prospective and existing clients.
• Work with external marketing vendor to edit social media posts, blogs, and sales/marketing communication collateral. Monitor SourceLink social media channels for business development leads and post appropriate responses.
• Create edits, changes, and other updates to company website.
• Coordinate business development calendar for external meetings and software demos.
• Provide business development administrative support.
• Attend conferences and work exhibition booths to handle sales leads/inquiries/software demos.
• Provide administrative support to other team members as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications
  • Possesses expanded conceptual knowledge of the Program and Project Administration function and broadens capabilities.
  • Proficient using meeting and conference platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Full Time/Part Time

Full-time, benefits eligible

Salary

$47,476 - 55,000 commensurate with experience and education
