Description
The College of Business and Administration at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor position in Human Resources & Management starting in August 2022.
The position will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas of Management and Human Resources. Potential courses include Human Resource Management for Managers, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and Retention Strategies, and Advanced Topics in HRM. Classes in other areas will be assigned as needed and efforts will be made to find opportunities for the faculty member to teach in his/her special areas of expertise. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid.
The successful candidate should be devoted to teaching excellence at the graduate and undergraduate level, committed to high-quality scholarly research, and interested in pursuing community involvement. Cross-disciplinary research is respected and encouraged.
The College of Business is AACSB accredited. All faculty are required to contribute to the maintenance of AACSB accreditation.
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the following:
Associate Professors – Generally starting at $125,000 - $138,000 The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. In addition, the College of Business provides travel and professional development funding. The University of Colorado offers excellent benefits, including medical, dental, retirement, and a tuition benefit. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- An earned doctorate (or ABD) in Human Resource Management, Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field. ABD applicants must have completed all doctoral course requirements and qualifying exams and must persuasively demonstrate that all degree requirements will be completed before the start of the fall 2022 semester.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and fine motor skills.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
