Position Description:
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing UCLA's initiatives in Armenia. The Program Manager will provide leadership and day-to-day management of UCLA faculty and staff-led working groups that have been organized to support programming needs identified by our partners in Armenia. The incumbent will be responsible for working with the groups to set strategic goals, as well as support their implementation, and track and report on their progress. The incumbent will help identify and analyze critical issues, recommend solutions to decision-makers, and implement interventions.

The Program Manager will work alongside the Operation Armenia Steering Committee and workgroup leads to ensure that project activities are carried out in a timely and effective manner to reach all project goals. They will be responsible for all administrative elements of the program and implementation. The Program Manager is expected to be exceptional at working independently, work collaboratively be an outstanding problem solver, and possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
