Job DetailsJob Location Main Campus - Edmond, OKPosition Type StaffSalary Range $44,250.00 - $44,250.00 Salary/yearDescription The successful candidate for this position will be someone who believes in the fraternity & sorority experience, as well as serves as a steward for creating meaningful experiences for students. This person must be able to establish rapport and a mature relationship with our student community. In addition, this person serves as a resource for faculty, staff and as an advocate for students to facilitate cooperation and understanding of the unique characteristics and benefits of the Greek system. They will design, implement, and evaluate programs that enhance the social and academic effectiveness of the Greek community.

They serve as primary advisor to the Interfraternity Council and the National Panhellenic Council and supervise a Coordinator who serves as the primary advisor to Panhellenic Council and the Multicultural Greek Council. The Assistant Director serves as a liaison to the national offices, regional advisors, and faculty/staff sponsors of all Greek chapters. Participates/attends national and regional conferences regarding Greek and Student Affairs. Develops and coordinates Greek systems member education programs. Coordinates special projects and training sessions. Some evening and weekends. Performs other duties as assigned. Reports to the Director of Student Engagement.

Position Overview: Develop, implement, and manage activities, programs, and services related to student organizations, student leadership programs and other campus activities. Develop and execute short and long-term plan, goal and objectives for programs to ensure alignment with university goals. Monitor and report on participation and satisfaction and recommend improvements. Develops, implements, and authorizes the expenditures of department and fee-funded group budgets. Oversee activities and budgets of student fee funded student organizations. Oversee staff, student employees, and volunteers. Oversee safety and compliance.

Qualifications Qualifications / Experience Required: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results. 5+ years of experience, post bachelor’s degree, with leading planning, including program development and innovation, program prioritization, and assessment. Appropriate professional accomplishments and credentials.

Experience Preferred: Master's degree in counseling or college student personnel.One to three years of experience in student affairs or related field, post graduate school. Experience in developing and implementing educational, social and cultural programs. Experience in supervision of graduate or full-time staff. Experience in budget management, working with a diverse student and staff population and advising student organizations.

Good supervisory, report preparation and project management skills. Accounting and budgeting skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to hire and supervise employees. Ability to make policy and procedure decisions. Must be detail-oriented.
