Aligns with ULV Athletics home contests, Intramural Sports & other activities. Schedule is busiest on weekends, must be available on Saturdays during the fall season.

Works 5-15 hours per week.

Job Description Summary:

Game Management student workers are responsible for a variety of duties surrounding home intercollegiate athletics. Assist with set-up and breakdown of facilities and equipment for athletic competitions. Assist with photography, videography, multimedia design, marketing and more. Student lead positions available.

Specific Duties:

Attend mandatory orientation and job training. Saturdays will be required during the fall season so please plan accordingly. Student workers will be trained in all positions for each season. GM positions include but are not limited to video production, live stream, video record, play by play broadcasting, photography, multimedia design, officiate stats keeping, shot clock and scoreboard (training provided), PA announcer, on field/court crew, marketing team, fan experience team, IM sports team. Sports include; football, soccer, volleyball, cross country, golf, basketball, swim and dive, water polo, baseball, softball and track and field.

Minimum Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of sports and sports equipment.

Ability to lift and transport equipment. Good communication skills and willingness to learn new skills.

Demonstrated awareness and commitment to effectively establishing relationships and positive communications across multiple dimensions of diversity including, but not limited to race, gender, sexual preference/identity, physical limitations, class or religious perspectives.

Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with athletics and game management.

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
