Prairie State College seeks innovative adjunct faculty to teach composition course offerings (ENG 101/102). Successful candidates will demonstrate the following: excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a flexible, student-centered approach to teaching writing; the ability to engage a diverse student population; and familiarity with research/scholarship concerning pedagogy in the composition classroom and the community college environment. The English Department offers a collegial and supportive faculty peer environment, with opportunities for substantive faculty development.
Available offerings will be day-time face-to-face courses.
Anticipated start date: August or September 2021
Adjunct faculty members at PSC are paid by the number of hours they are in the classroom (contact hours).Essential Responsibilities:
Pay Schedule for new adjunct faculty: $791.31 per credit hour
