Temporary Financial Aid & Scholarships

The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office provides aid to students after determining eligibility.  This position will update student records to allow for aid awarding and disbursement through batch and manual processing. When required, this position adjusts awards to reflect student’s enrollment status and eligibility.

Examples of Work Performed:

    Pulling requests for emergency aid and requesting additional documentation when required.Evaluating student requests for professional judgements for changes income, dependency, and processing updates to student aid record.Make adjustments to student accounts when system related changes create aid overawards.Assist in the batch processing of verification through review of documentation and updates to system records and student account.
 

Pay and Benefits:

The hiring rate (or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at $20/ hour

The above salary rate represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.

This is a part time position, and is not benefit eligible.  Per Colorado's Healthy Families and Workplace Act, you will accrue 0.034 hours of sick leave for every 1 hour worked.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 

A bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution. Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Competencies:

    Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.Outstanding customer service skills.
