Professor of Business (Finance Emphasis)

Spartanburg Methodist College seeks a Professor of Business with an emphasis in Finance starting in the Fall 2021 semester. Qualifications include a terminal degree (PhD or DBA) in the field of Business or a minimum of a master’s degree in business with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Finance. Candidates that are ABD in the field of business will also be considered. Prior experience teaching Finance and a qualification to teach in an additional business field is desired for this position. Candidates with the capability of teaching a variety of business courses are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with positive career experience, a strong teaching record, a passion to positively influence students, and an ability to communicate effectively. SMC offers dual modality with online and on ground course delivery and teaching responsibilities involve courses in business, finance, and other fields as needed. Faculty members are also expected to serve on committees, student mentors, and other job-related duties as assigned while maintaining office hours.
