Assistant/Associate Professor - Pediatric Dentistry
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Dentistry seeks applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor, in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. It is preferable that the faculty applicant have a demonstrated record of teaching in an advanced dental education program in Pediatric Dentistry, be prepared for teaching at the predoctoral level, have experience with participation in research and service. The candidate’s previous teaching experience should include care for persons with special needs and all topic areas of pediatric dentistry.
Qualified candidates must have a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, and a certificate or master’s degree in pediatric dentistry advanced training from a program accredited by CODA. The applicant should have experience in general anesthesia and sedation treatment, be able to obtain hospital privileges, and eligible for a license in Alabama. Consideration of applicants will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
