The Colgate Bookstore is Central New York’s largest independent bookstore, located in a historic three-story building in the heart of Hamilton. Primarily accountable for assisting customers in an efficient, friendly and professional manner throughout their shopping experience. This specifically includes, but is not limited to: enthusiastically welcoming customers and visitors to the store, confidently answering questions about merchandise and helping them select appropriate gifts.
Accountable for straightening merchandise and cleaning of fixtures, restocking inventory, reworking displays and answering phones.
In addition, this position will be accountable for assisting with filling in for others during absences and peak times, as well as assisting with a variety of special projects as assigned by the supervisor. Projects may include, but are not limited to: assisting with all aspects of the buying process, including comprehensive use of the bookstore inventory control software, register coverage, web order processing, visual merchandising, decorating and assisting with textbooks.Name:
