Summary

The School of Medicine SeniorDirector of Graduate Medical Education (GME) works closely with the DesignatedInstitutional Official (DIO) and GME leadership to provide administrativeoversight of graduate medical education, including all medical residency andfellowship programs at the Tulane School of Medicine. The position oversees theadministration of all internal special and focused program reviews, staffs theGMEC Program Review Subcommittee, and is responsible for the systematicmanagement and retention of all institutional and program accreditation files.The Senior Director will manage and administer initiatives as directed by theDIO and serve as a resource to individual departments regarding compliance withACGME core program standards. Key responsibilities include onboarding andtraining of new program directors, assisting with preparations for program andinstitutional site visits, staffing the GMEC, and oversight of the special andinstitutional review process. The position will assist the DIO with preparingannual reports for the Executive Faculty and other School or Institutionalbodies, and for ACGME.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors' degree from anaccredited college or university and 10 years' extensive, directly related GMEexperience or
• Master’s Degree in a related orrelevant area and 3-5 years’ program management/quality management, programevaluation, program auditing, accreditation, or related functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Excelfunctionalities such as pivot tables, macros, lookup/reference, etc.
