The Office of Alumni Relations seeks an enthusiastic professional to join the alumni relations team as the Associate Managing Director of Alumni Relations. This position will be responsible for the planning and implementation of events, initiatives, programs, and services that strategically engage alumni in strengthening relationships for Texas State University. This position is a member of the Office of Alumni Relations, which works in partnership with the Texas State Alumni Association, a 501c3 nonprofit, and its Board of Directors. The position reports to the Director of Alumni Relations and Executive Director of the Alumni Association.Job Duties:
•Coordinate and execute alumni engagement programs that foster lifelong relationships in support of the University.
•Assist in general administration of department to include establishment and implementation of policies and procedures, development of goals and objectives, and budgeting.
•Develop and provide reports and metrics; track volunteer involvement and event attendance, conduct post-activity evaluations and assessment.
•Provide functional guidance of administrative/professional employees and/or direct supervision of staff on an ongoing basis. May provide ongoing facilitation of consecutive projects.
•Responsible for creating and implementing an overall comprehensive approach to an alumni engagement strategy working with all departments, programs, and centers.
•Cultivate and steward relationships with Texas State alumni to help enhance engagement with the University, various Colleges, departments, programs, and centers.
•Serve as the liaison to the Texas State Alumni Association Board of Directors.
•Collaborate with the Assistant Director for Annual Giving on annual giving efforts for alumni priority fund giving appeals and Forever Bobcats campaigns.
•Assist in increasing the alumni-giving by 20% in the next five years.
•Work with University Advancement Digital Communications Hub to support a comprehensive alumni communication plan including helping to populate content for emails, social media, website, videos, and various publications.
•Support signature alumni events to include the Distinguished Alumni Gala, Alumni Awards program, and athletics support programs such as tailgates.
•Interface with alumni, donors, board members and other constituents and provide high-level customer service to ensure a positive experience.Job Open Date:
