External Relations coordinates and strengthens relationships between the Daniels College of Business and leading companies and community organizations that are aligned with the College's mission, values, goals and educational programs. Our mission is to form strategic partnerships between Daniels and corporate and community partners that can result in mutually-beneficial relationships and greater impact on Daniels, our students and on the communities we serve.

Position Summary

The Manager of External Relations works collaboratively as a part of the External Relations team to engage the marketplace with the College locally, domestically and globally through student projects, events, guest speaking, curriculum input and corporate giving opportunities. This role acts as a liaison between External Relations and other units throughout the college and the University to identify meaningful engagement opportunities and work to facilitate engagement with our partners. The Manager is responsible for engagement and stewardship of Daniels Corporate Partners as well as key industry/community partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in business including business development, customer service or external relations.
  • Experience and interest in working with different cultural backgrounds.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent and able to conduct business in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing/sales; corporate foundation or college relations department of major corporation.
  • Corporate relations position with ranked business school.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • 4-6 years general business experience, including 1 year in management and 3 years in University/function.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number
The salary grade for the position is 8.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
