(Contingent upon available funding): 12.50 - 14.06, Hourly Work Schedule: Typically, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week; occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Responsible for various maintenance needs. Assists all areas of Facilities Management and Operations, including carpentry, EMP, events, moves, special events, and others as assigned. This position will also assist with the COVID-19 swab pod via delivering items, directing traffic, setting up and breaking down tables at sites.
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
Assist all crafts as assigned by Supervisor. Expert knowledge in performing tasks is not expected. However, over a period of time, the Maintenance Technician should develop to the point that she/he can complete tasks independently. Perform all phases of general, aesthetic, and preventative maintenance within supervisor’s guidelines. Responsible for assisting with projects mechanical and EMP related. Make repairs to general facilities to include, but not limited to, general carpentry repairs, perform minor paint and patch work, repairs to ceiling and floor coverings, doors, windows, and furniture. Repair or replace various plumbing fixtures and hardware. Unclog sluggish or stopped drains. Safe lifting practices and procedures. Knowledge of light fixtures and various types of bulbs and ballasts. Ability to assemble office furniture, hang large white boards, bulletin boards, etc., and experience in the use of hand and power tools. Consciousness of safety procedures. Provide excellent customer service. Work overtime as needed.
