Job DescriptionThe UMKC School of Dentistry is taking applications for a part-time Call Center Assistant. Successful applicants will be patient, team players, who are reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Make new patient screening appointments daily
- Transfer incoming and outgoing patients
- Cover other person working screening line for their daily lunch break
- Send referrals to appropriate person to have the record reviewed
- Mail out screening letter's to patients
- Be able to read the patents chart to know if a referral is needed and where to send patient during initial phone conversation
- When time permits, learn to check in patients at the front desk
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
- Previous experience as a phone operator in a call center, front desk, or medical/dental office is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply
Support departments will offer staggered shifts to support the clinic during hours of operation, subject to change based on business needs (with advanced notice).
- 20 hours/week, 5 days a week
- Typical shifts:
- 8:00a to 12:00p
- 12:00p to 4:00p
Salary
$10.43 to $12.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
