The Sigmund Weis School of Business is one of a small number of programs accredited by AACSB-International that focus exclusively on undergraduate education; 25 faculty members serve approximately 600 majors. Position Summary:

The Sigmund Weis School of Business of Susquehanna University seeks applicants for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position beginning in August 2021. Undergraduate teaching includes multiple finance courses and possible other courses based on the candidate’s qualifications and interests. Additional responsibilities include advising students and service within the Business School.

Required Qualifications:

Education
Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field is required.

This candidate will be expected to interact openly and inspire students through their teaching strategies which demonstrates a high level of organization and communication.

Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to complete the professional or academic responsibilities required by AACSB-International accredited business programs. The candidate could accomplish this by achieving the scholarship standards required by publishing in peer review journals or by maintaining their professional currency through other professional work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education
A Ph.D. or ABD in these fields (and have started ABD status in April 2019 or later) is preferred.

Evidence of teaching excellence, relevant industry experience, and the ability and interest to teach international finance is preferred.

We use experiential learning to engage students in a multicultural education that prepares them for life in a diverse and interconnected world.
