The University Libraries at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln is seeking a self-motivated, collaborative, analytical, detail-oriented individual to join its Senior Administrative team. The Director of Finance and Administration serves as a senior leader in the Libraries and oversees budgeting, financial reporting and analyses, all business operations, facilities, and human resources for the Libraries, as well as budget, finance, contracting, and business support services for University of Nebraska Consortium of Libraries (UNCL). The individual in this role works collaboratively with Libraries faculty and staff, key partners on campus including Chief Academic Business Officers (CABO), UNCL, Big Red Business Center (BRBC) and the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) in furtherance of the Libraries’ mission and vision. Responsible for helping to advance inclusive excellence goals, with a particular focus on areas where administrative processes may be a barrier to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Minimum qualifications to include:
Master’s degree plus five (5) years of related, progressively responsible experience. Work history must show financial analysis/modeling experience, Budgeting experience, and Supervisory experience.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
•Accuracy and attention to detail while still seeing the big picture.
•Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize.
•Strong oral and written communication skills.
•Excellent listening skills.
•Ability to analyze problems and make sound judgments.
•Excellent computer skills including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
•Ability to carry out sensitive tasks with discretion and confidentiality.
•Strong analytical skills including the ability to prepare and interpret financial forecasts, models, and analyses.
•Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices, business processes, policies and procedures, and internal controls.
