Job Summary This position is responsible for the oversight, execution and growth of the PJCL.The PJCLP Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, execution and growth of the PJCLP. This position works directly with up to 80 students in 4 cohort groups. The person in this position is responsible for recruitment and retention of program participants. This position requires strong collaboration with multiple individuals and stakeholders to ensure program success. The PJCLP Coordinator reports to the Executive Vice President for Student Engagement and Success. The position works closely with the Provost/VPAA and Academic liaison. This is a grant-funded position. Employment is contingent upon grant funding. Responsibilities
Serve as primary professional staff contact for PCLP. (70%)Coordinate PJCLP applicant selection process.Assist Admissions with recruitment of PJCLP applicants.Assist First Year Experience with PJCLP enrollment and academic advising. Coordinate PJCLP Living Learning Community (LLC) in partnership with Residence Life.Serve as primary professional staff contact for the PCLP.Plan and facilitate PJCLP freshmen class cohort pre-semester retreat.Serve as a PCLP participant mentor. Meet regularly with participants in individual and group settings. Coordinate community service options and track community service hours for PCLP participants.Assist with internship placements.Coordinate PCLP Advisory Committee.Coordinate annual PCLP Fuller House service project.Coordinate annual Spring Break service trip with second year cohort group. Build relationships in the local community to advance the PCLP.Present to local and regional interest groups on the PCLP.
Assist Academic Affairs PCLP liaison. (20%)Teach PCLP leadership course(s) and freshmen University 1000 courseAssist Academic Affairs PCLP liaison with participant academic research or service assignment for graduation. Assist Academic Affairs PCLP liaison with program course assignments.
Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)Serve on university committees and task forces.Other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in leadership, higher education, or related field.
