Computer Science Electrical Engineering

Job Description The Computer Science Electrical Engineering department is seeking applicants for a (benefit eligible) non-tenure track faculty position.

This Instructor will teach 4 courses per semester with an enrollment projection of 60 students per section.

The ideal candidates will have expertise in teaching courses in the following areas: Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Programming for Robotics, Computer Resource and IT Infrastructure Management, Engineering Graphics, Networking, Web Programming, and Statistical Learning.

The CSEE department and the School of Computing and Engineering (SCE) are committed to providing applied and career-oriented learning experiences to the undergraduate students. A candidate with prior industrial or entrepreneurial experiences would be preferred to facilitate project-based teaching.

The successful candidate will be expected to 1) have a strong commitment to quality undergraduate / graduate engineering education; 2) teach courses in the undergraduate / graduate CSEE program; 3) maintain an outstanding record of education and professional leadership; 4) engage in department, school, and/or university service activities appropriate to the position and 5) advance the goals and strategic plan of SCE and UMKC.

The CSEE department offers BS degrees (ABET accredited), MS degrees and participates in UMKC's PhD programs. More information about SCE and the CSEE department can be found at https://sce.umkc.edu. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
