Basic Function: The Information and Engineering Technologies (IET) Career and Technical Education (CTE) project manager is responsible for the management of assigned projects and activities within the NOVA IET division. This position will focus on projects and activities in the engineering technology fields.
Under the direction of the Director and Program Manager of NOVA SySTEMic, this position will support initiatives within the IET division to implement IET projects and activities; support data and reporting functions; lead development for engineering technology curriculum and projects linking secondary and post-secondary education.
Duties and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for assigned project management duties for specific educational engineering technology activities. Additionally, the project manager will focus on raising awareness for the engineering technology and data center operations needs in the region.
The project manager will support the NOVA IET’s existing engineering technology activities funded through federal, state, local and private grants. This includes the management and coordination of activities; collecting and organizing documentation for internal/external reports, tracking budgets; and communication to internal/external stakeholders. The project manager is expected to have regular interactions with faculty, students, administrators, and community partners.Special Assignments:
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.KSA's/Required Qualifications:

- Excellent time management , problem solving and organizational skills
- Professional written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Ability to hold productive in-person and virtual meetings
- Ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Word and Excel applications
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Engineering Technology industry.
- Skilled in some engineering technology concepts.
Minimum Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in business or engineering technology or related field or equivalent applicable experience or training
- Demonstrated experience in Project management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel applications
- Previous experience / working knowledge in an Engineering Technology industry
Preferred Qualifications:Operation of a State Vehicle:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
- Significant Experience in an engineering technology industry
- Experience in an academic environment in program and/or project management
- Experience working with external partners
