Position Summary

The Department of Kinesiology at Michigan State University is seeking a Fixed Term faculty member at the assistant professor level with expertise in sport and exercise psychology. The ideal candidate will be committed to quality teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students, and value service to the institution, profession, and community. The position is a 9-month fixed-term appointment with an August 16, 2021 start date.

Teach in all modes of delivery and at all levels in areas of expertise and department curricular need.

• Advise and mentor graduate students at the masters and doctoral levels.

• Perform service as appropriate to the department, college, university, profession, and community.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have an earned relevant doctoral degree. The successful candidate must show evidence of: (a) high-quality college-level teaching, (b) scholarly expertise in psychosocial aspects of sport and exercise, (c) capacity to engage in undergraduate and graduate student mentoring, and (d) meaningful service contributions. These qualifications should be specifically addressed within the letter of application.
