Job Description
The Francis King Carey School of Law is seeking part-time contractual Multimedia Assistant(s) to supplement its media team who support the academic and operational media and technology needs of the school. We are seeking a combination of employees for additional daytime and evening support with occasional weekend shifts as well.  Schedules depend on academic needs with specific hours being determined by the Multimedia Manager on a biweekly basis.

****This is a part-time non-benefited, Contingent Category 1 Contractual position for 10-18 hours per week ****

PRIMARY DUTIES

1. Utilizes multimedia equipment and lecture capture software for classroom support and or live event production. Produces, edits, and duplicates multimedia materials.

2. Ensures operational readiness of equipment and distribution systems, troubleshoots and repairs minor problems, performs preventive maintenance, and refers major problems to appropriate supervisor.

3. Supports School of Law’s administrative needs with remote collaborative services including but not limited to WebEx, Go-to-Meeting, Zoom, etc.  Training on equipment and software can be provided.

4. Instructs others on the usage of equipment and systems. Responds to routine requests and inquiries on equipment availability and capabilities.  Transports and sets up equipment as necessary

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE: Two years in the operation of audio-visual or multimedia equipment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:  Working knowledge of the operation and routine maintenance of multimedia equipment. Ability to operate multimedia equipment; to use electronic testing, hand and power tools; to perform extensive standing and walking; to lift and carry multimedia and testing equipment; to use personal computers; to communicate effectively; to follow oral and written instructions.
OTHER: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.

SALARY: $17.00 per hour

TENTATIVE START DATE: Late July or early August
