Job SummaryCU Boulder encourages applications for an HR Coordinator! The HR Coordinator in the Office of the Provost provides personnel management support to the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and collaborates closely with the Senior Human Resources Manager to coordinate personnel processes and procedures for the Office of the Provost and its core units. This position primarily supports the Offices of the Provost, Academic Planning and Assessment, Academic Resource Management, Faculty Affairs, Graduate School, Academic and Learning Innovation, and Undergraduate Education - with setting up person of interest relationships, hiring and employment of temporary employees such as student hourly and temporary staff including retirees. This position also assists with activity related to regular staff positions and appointments, as needed. In addition, this position manages onboarding of new employees for core units as needed.

The Division of Academic Affairs is led by the Provost, and exists to nurture, foster and support the development of outstanding academic research and instructional programs on the University of Colorado Boulder campus to ensure our students are offered academic excellence in their undergraduate and graduate educations.What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeProvide HR support to VCAA core unit supervisors on hiring of retirees, temporary staff, student hourlies (regular and work study), and setting up persons of interest.
Responsibilities include verifying student eligibility for appointment, submitting temporary requisitions in Avature, drafting and routing offer letters, and working with the HRSC to enter, approve, and regularly review and maintain accurate job records (begin and end dates), position and funding data, and close out processes.
In collaboration with the Senior Human Resources Manager and core unit supervisors, support personnel activity for regular staff such as updating position descriptions, processing addendums and other duties as assigned.
Communicate regularly with hourly employees paid bi-weekly and supervisors to ensure time sheets are completed by campus due dates so that employees are paid correctly.
Work in collaboration with HRSC staff to process payroll expense transfers and late pay, and correct overpayments.
Review biweekly payroll registers to confirm payroll and troubleshoots to correct any inaccuracies.
Provide new employees with relocation assistance information, moving provider information, and works to ensure a smooth transition to the area in coordination with each unit.
Oversee set-up and onboarding processes for Provost’s Office staff including, but not limited to: assisting employees with ongoing questions and needs around parking, building access, keys, phones, Buff OneCard, etc.
Develop a process to provide new employees with a general tour and overview of Regent offices, conference rooms, kitchen, and other spaces.
Coordinate exit procedures for departing staff, meet with employees who are terminating employment to review exit checklist, collect keys, return property, etc.
Serve as Building Proctor for Regent Administrative Center.
Oversee, and in collaboration with units, create and document processes within university guidelines to manage property disposal for the Office of the Provost and other core units as needed.What We Can OfferThe annual salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000.BenefitsThe University of Colorado offers excellent benefits

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of experience in human resources, executive office operations, or comparable experience.
What You Will Need
- Detail oriented with customer service experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
What We Would Like You To Have
- Two or more years of experience working at the University of Colorado.
- Experience in using Avature, HCM and PeopleSoft.
