Housing Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the position of Housing Maintenance Technician, 2nd shift (Trades Specialist IV, full-time, position with benefits) in University Housing.
Duties include, but are not limited to: performing high-level trade skills in the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, appliance, and carpentry; maintaining documentation regarding work activities through housing software solution; requesting and maintaining equipment and materials; inspecting housing facilities and equipment; moving furniture, supplies, and equipment; working collaboratively with constituents; utilizing safety practices and completing required trainings; maintaining safe and clean working environment; following departmental rules, regulations, and protocols; participating in on-call rotation; completing general custodial work; and performing others duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and two (2) years related work experience in all phases of general and preventative maintenance are required. A successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and must have a clear three (3) year driving record. Must successfully pass background check.
