Overview

The ORL is looking for a professional and self-motivated individual who would be enthusiastic about developing communication strategies and programming that embodies the ethos of the ORL and would appeal to the student population (and broader Princeton community at large). Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Religious Life, the Communications and Program Coordinator is responsible for communicating information about the diverse programs and events hosted by the ORL and the Chapel. The Communications and Program Coordinator will therefore perform a wide range of duties in the following areas: partner/student outreach, media content development, website management, program development, program documentation, student supervision, email communications, and special events.

Responsibilities

This year, the incumbent will also be responsible for implementing the recently re-branded ORL identity through campaigns, social media posts and special projects. The accepted candidate will also be expected to hire, supervise, and manage ORL Student Correspondents to support the communication goals of the office. Additionally, the ORL Communications and Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and organizing a number of annual programs, including the Faith-Based Internship summer program, Hidden Chaplains, and a large ORL conference with rotating themes per year. Furthermore, the accepted candidate would have the flexibility and freedom to pursue their own self-initiated projects with guidance from the Associate Dean of Religious Life. Past projects have included the #PrincetonSoulStories Instagram series, the Hidden Chaplains Stairwell Gallery and videos for the Religion and Forced Migration Initiative website.
